Sun enters nurturer Cancer
On 21 June, the day of the winter or summer solstice, depending on whether you live in the southern or northern hemisphere, the Sun enters Cancer.
Cancer is the sign of the crab and rules the home, family and security. People with Cancer prominent in their chart are most comfortable in their own familiar surroundings with those they love.
During this comfort-seeking Cancer transit, is the time to seek out those loved ones (partner, family or close friends) who are far away from you – call them, send them emails or even a gift, to let them know you are thinking about them. It’s a time to open your heart and have a bit more compassion for other people, especially with those who you have had a falling out with. Take time to spend wth loved ones if they are close by – your partner, family or close friends. Enjoy the security of knowing they are there to support you, just as you are there to support them too. Take this time to bond emotionally.
In addition to the Sun’s transit into Cancer, there are some other major influences happening right now:
21 June – Sun in Cancer squares Uranus
This aspect marks a day of changes and the unexpected to disrupt your day. Allow yourself to go with the changing flow and be led into new and exciting directions.
23 June – Sun squares Jupiter
The square between the Sun and Jupiter may give you some rather outlandish and unrealistic ideas that you cant possibly put into action – but you may actually think you can. Just be open to the truth of any situation you’re in and it will benefit you greatly in the long run.
25 June – Sun opposes Pluto
Intense interpersonal interactions abound with this transit. Be prepared to stand up for your rights if you need to, but dont be overbearing and arrogant as that could present more trouble than it’s worth. Another influence of this transit a change in any part of your life that is not good for you. If you have been allowing the status quo to stand on a situation (be it a job, relationship, home, whatever), Pluto will shake you until you make a decision to do something about it. While you may not enjoy the changes as they occur, you will benefit from the eventual outcome. Change is good, especially when it brings about better circumstances than existed before.
Venus moves in fun-loving Leo
Venus moves into fun-loving and socially active Leo on 14 June and will stay there until 9 July 2010.
Venus in Leo brings a time for socialising, romance, fun, excitement, partying, intense and heartwarming activities to share with other people and to be surrounded by lots of other people. Since Leo is very open and forward, this can help to give you the courage you need to ask that person you fancy out on a date, or even for just a coffee or drink somewhere. The previous influence of Venus in Cancer (and any associated shyness or reservation) has been swept aside with Venus’ transit in Leo. Use Leo’s energy to give you the impetus to be brave and ask that person out. This transit gives everyone more loving, generous feelings so it may just surprise you when they say yes.
Venus in Leo forms a trine to eccentric Uranus, which is the planet of unexpected possibilities, on 14 June. Uranus is a planet that doesn’t want to be restricted in any way, shape or form and has no thought to society’s rule, so this trine on this day will provide you with more forward-thinking thought about yourself and your life. If you are already in a relationship, it will provide you both with new ideas and new ways to make your relationship feel exciting again, especially if it has become a bit boring. Even if it hasn’t become boring, this transit will make your minds more open to new ideas and new ways of doing things that provide you with more excitement. Single people have an opportunity to meet someone new in unusual circumstances or to meet someone who is very different/eccentric to anyone else you know.
Venus in Leo also forms a trine to Jupiter on 15 June, which provides a day of loveliness and great luck. You may be feeling much more positive and happier, more inclined to see the good in everything and everyone. What a lovely day.
Mercury moves into Gemini
On 10 June 2010, Mercury moves into chatty, restless Gemini. As Mercury rules Gemini, this is one of the best placements for Mercury. Mercury will stay in Gemini until 25 June 2010.
Mercury is the planet of communication, wit, charm, nervous energy and lack of focus. Geminis are better at knowing a little about many different subjects, rather than knowing a lot about on particular subject.
This means, during this transit, there will be less in-depth focus on anything, it will be more about skimming the surface and discovering a little bit about many things. At least it will be interesting, a great way to keep your mind active and curious.
In order to get the best out of this tranist, it will be beneficial to take stock of everything as a whole and even use lists to itemise everything that you need to do, otherwise you may overlook important tasks quite easily.
On 10 June, at the start of the transit, Mercury forms a sextile (positive angle of 60 degrees) to both eccentric Uranus and lucky Jupiter. This what provides a great day, full of exciting and very enthusiastic thoughts, as so many possibilities become more transparent to you. Wait until 12 June to put any of these plans into action, when Mercury squares Mars in Virgo, as this will provide more grounded and realistic ways to get going. In addition, while there may be some opposition and some loved ones may not support your plans, but don’t take this as a personal attack. instead, use their opinions to solidify exactly what your plans entail and how they can be improved to best effect. Always take the positive out of any negative, use the challenges that are presented to you as a way to move forward.
Jupiter moves into go-getter Aries
On 6 June 2010, lucky planet Jupiter moves into go-getter, dynamic Aries and will stay there until the beginning of September.
Aries has not been in this position for 12 years. This transit will be like a new beginning, shaking off the shackles of the past and will herald new growth and good luck.
No matter what your star sign is, you will benefit from this transit, with some signs benefiting more, depending on what planet is in Jupiter in your chart. The fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) should get a big confidence boost and have some good fortune coming your way. The water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) may get that promotion at work, or get some money from somewhere. The earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) may feel more emotionally connected and supported by their friends and family. The air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) may find that this transit help to give them more energy (mentally and physically) than ever to get all their plans into action.
On the plus side, Jupiter in Aries provides more direct action on your part, leadership abilities and creative thinking. On the minus side, Jupiter in Aries can make you take more risks and take on more than you can handle, due to Aries over-the-top bravado. You need to temper your thinking with a little moderation – think about how much you can really take on realistically, to ensure that you do well. This Aries transit can be used for such good. Tap into its power and you can go far.
In addition, Venus in Leo is conjunct to Uranus. This aspect is a very nice one, as it provides some really positive outcomes in your life that seemingly come out of nowhere to make your life more comfortable and better. Some of these good things that will happen will be life changing, in a very beneficial way. Some of the good things will just provide a better way of living your life and more opportunities for more beneficial rewards.
