The following describes the two main planetary transits and general forecast for the 2008 in general. Individual forecasts are below.
Mars is still in retrograde (since 15 November 2007) and will continue the retrograde (appearing to go backward) until 30 January 2008 (in Cancer for the most part of this retrograde motion). This means that we are drawn inward to work on how we go for what we want the most, how we go about getting our heart's desire and how we manage our projects. During this time anger will be repressed and not expressed strongly. This will also be a time of hesitation, caution and really thinking things through before putting plans in action. This is all due to the influence of Cancer, which is an inward, introspective and timid sign that feels awkward when placed in Mars, whose energy is direct, forceful and intense.
Mars will be retrograde in Gemini in the middle of the retrograde period (from 31 December 2007 - 4 March 2008), which means that intellectual endeavours and lateral thinking may be muddled or may not be as good. One good thing about Mars entry in Gemini is that the hesitation and caution of Cancer will be dispelled for this brief time, so use this time to make decisions (but not before or after).
Jupiter entered Capricorn on 18 December 2007 and will stay there all of 2008, until finally leaving in January 2008. This means that the best use of the expansive and positive energy of Jupiter in Capricorn is when we plan, are disciplined and methodical to reach our goals, which means we can reach great heights of success if we follow our plans diligently. While we may not take many risks and may not be as farsighted, we can still plan well to reach our desired goals. Just guard against being too inflexible and intolerant of others.

Aries
Changes and interesting times to plan
In general
This year sees some major changes for many Aries in your career around February, which may or may not be expected or appreciated, but be assured, that the changes are a positive step for your future. Take whatever advice/help/mentoring that is offered and forge ahead to the new possibilities that open up for you.
Due to Mars retrograde motion in Gemini during 30 Jan - 4 Apr, your business transactions and communication at a general level with everyone will feel pressured or more challenging than usual (you may not feel that you are getting your point across), you may even experience delays in your communication. If you know this may happen, just take a deep breath and just try again. Keep copies of important documents - always save all your documents while you are creating them, just to ensure your work does not disappear (which can happen during this transit).
If you travel, ensure you take all precautions if you are going to risky areas, especially in January. Just be aware of your personal safety and take care.
Love
With Venus in freedom-loving Sagittarius at the start of the year, you will be drawn to excitement, parties, fun, social gatherings and energetic events. Alas, Saturn in Virgo will aim to restrict your freedom and you may feel that your socialising becomes very limited, due to demands of your job (or even your partners). This does not sit well with action-orientated Aries, who need to be unfettered and hate demands to be placed on them. Just be gracious at this time, this influence will soon pass and you will be free again later in the year.
Your job may have you interacting with colleagues / contacts in other countries this year. You may also feel compelled to connect with others who think like you - this is an excellent way for you to feel inspired about your life in many ways, which will take you to a higher plane of thinking.
Family
This year, Saturn is in Virgo and Jupiter is in Capricorn, which means your career / profession will be extremely important to you and be a prime focus for you this year. Your home life and family may have to take a back seat and provide the structure you need to support your career.
Health
Your health is highlighted this year. You will start to make those changes that you need in order to ensure you are at your healthiest and fittest. Take things slowly if you haven't exercised in a while (and see a doctor if you are unsure). Just plan your fitness regime slowly and methodically and even see a professional to help you get the best out of yourself.
If you have any health concerns, this is the time to take the steps you need in order to get yourself healthy. Don't wait for another day!
Work
This is a year for changes - which are always good in the long run (even though some may not seem so at the time). Take all the change in your career in your stride and you will appear more confident and reliable, which in turn will give you more credence.
There is possibility of promotion this year. If you have an opportunity to show your skills, show them to your superiors and prove what an invaluable employee you are. Make connections and network whenever you have an opportunity to do so this year, as these connections could be fortuitous.

Your energy and confidence increase dramatically when Mars turns direct at the end of January. This is a gradual process that begins then and builds through February and March. The best times for magnetizing what (and who) you want into your life are April 6-14 and July 12-20. Romance heats up from May 9-28. Your strongest financial periods in 2008 occur from April 20-May 8.
Taurus
A time for romance, travel and enlightenment
In general
This is a year of Earth signs (due to major planets being in Earth signs for most of the year), so you will feel completely at ease this year, more so than you have for a long time.
Jupiter is in Capricorn all year, which means that progress in any of the following areas will be beneficial for you: learning a new language, travel, seek higher learning from an educational institution or professional training for your career, make serious financial decisions, take legal advice and try new cuisine. This is a great year to immerse yourself in cultures and people that are different to your own, to allow you to have new experiences. This may entail travel to other countries, either for business or pleasure or even a combination of both. In November, Saturn's aspects to Jupiter are much more favourable, which lends itself to beneficial aspects to attaining your goals in life. You will achieve even more than that which you have worked hard to attain. November is an unusually nice month for you.
Love
Saturn, which is in Virgo in your 5th House for most of the year, which highlights romance, creativity and children. This means that some Taureans will begin a new relationship this year, but one which is more responsible or requires conscientious effort on your part to sustain it. For those already in a relationship, this is a time to concentrate on your relationship and make it work better for you both. You will find that you focus more on responsibilities and ethics at this time. Another benefit of this influence is the focus on health and work matters.
Saturn is retrograde until 3 May, when the motion turns direct.
Some couples my find that they are drawn to a liaison with someone other than their partner this year. Think very carefully about the consequences of your actions if you do decide to embark on an illicit affair - what you lose may be worth more than you should ever risk.
Family
Your home life is essentially stable right now and will continue to be so this year. You do require to be comfortable in your surroundings and never more so than this year, which could see you making some more additions to your home to beautify it, without going overboard, either in style or the money you spend.
The Solar Eclipse with the New Moon in Leo on 1 August brings changes and disruption to your home/family, which will require a review of major decisions. This may be the perfect month to plan a vacation - you need some rest.
Health
If you do not already do any physical activities, this year you will be interested in starting some. Try yoga and meditation and practice them every day to get the best benefits out of them. A group sport can also be the answer for your health needs - but it needs to be one which requires commitment from you on a daily basis. You also need to ensure your diet is healthy and you are getting all your nutrients from your food.
Work
Lately you may have felt rather disillusioned with your career, but take heart as this year promises to overturn that attitude. You will meet people and make new connections to help you further your career (or even start a new one) in ways you cannot yet even imagine. Just take every opportunity to shine and network hard.

In general
This year Gemini your family and finances are the two biggest influences in your life.
Saturn is in Virgo in your fourth house of family and home life. This means your focus this year is to find ways to build stronger family connections and ensure the foundation of your home and family life is stable, which can be a scary thing for a Gemini, as you prefer to be so independent. You may also experience a separation from your family or significant other this year, which will not be without warning, so you can plan for it effectively.
November is a great month to purchase a home, buy shares or try to make a lot of money in some other way. If you do speculate (or gamble) with your money, make sure you are well informed and take calculated risks before handing over your cash.
Some Geminis may be, somewhat interestingly, drawn into learning about the esoteric arts, such as astrology, palmistry or even tarot, this year. While others will be content to just try to figure out the meaning of their life from a higher level of consciousness. This is a time for great personal change.
The Lunar North Node is in Aquarius and the South Node is in Leo, which is favourable for communication, especially with friends or business colleagues that are overseas. This may bring overseas travel too.
Love
Mars is retrograde in your sign until the end of January, so do not expect any great romantic moments until at least February, which is when you will feel more comfortable in expressing and demonstrating how you feel and with your partner.
This year see single Geminis enjoying lots of romantic interest from a wide variety of suitors and this suits flirty Gemini right to their toes! Any social event (and there will be plenty) is ripe for initiating a new romance. The last few months of the year is very well aspected for meeting someone really special. Partnered Geminis will really feel the love towards their partner and have many intense, passionate and joyous moments.
Family
Some Geminis will move home this year, some will renovate, while others will simple redecorate. This means there will be some level of disruption to your surroundings, which may feel a little unstable, but interestingly, this year, you will strive to attain stability in your home and surroundings and will find it.

In general
Over the course of 2008, Jupiter will be in your house of marriage, business partnership and your public face.
This is a year for expanding your realm and moving totally out of your comfort zone. You do not have to worry though, you wont be forging ahead, you will have someone close to you to lead the way forward, with you happily following behind.
Some Cancerians will successfully combine a business partnership and a romantic partner this year - it could be that you start a romance with your new business partner, or that you and your current romantic partner go into business together. Whatever the case may be, it will be successful on all levels.

You may need to downgrade your spending (which is hard for any proud Leo), but this will be really good for you, as it will teach you how to better handle your finances. When Mars finally goes direct on 30 January, this may cause you to really rethink your current plans, your future or even your relationship. This is a great year for you Virgo.

With the influence of Pluto also in Capricorn, you will shed the old you and emerge as a new and profoundly more beautiful but stronger you. Even though the changes in you will be subtle, they will be deeply profound and affect you for the rest of your life. Communicating better and romance abound

With Jupiter in Capricorn in your house of communication, this is the year when you will finally be able to communicate better than ever. You will be an inspiration at any public talks you give and will be able to sell all your ideas so well to anyone that will listen. Communication that you will excel in are of of the form of publishing, writing and public relations.
Whatever plans and business ideas you have, this is the perfect year to put them into action as you have the imagination and creativity to make them happen, even better than you can imagine. Speaking of your imagination, you will be more imaginative, more creative and more open to new ideas, which is the starting point of creating a new world and helping your dreams to come true.
Your communication improvement is due to start around 25 January, when Pluto exits Sagittarius and enters stable Capricorn. This is also a time when you start getting even deeper on a metaphysical level (which, considering you are an intense Scorpio, is so very deep and profound), looking at everything around you with a new clarity of vision.
