How to spread the Tarot cards and read them
In order to do a reading, the following needs to happen with the Tarot cards:
- the Tarot cards need to be shuffled by the person who wants the answer to their questions
- the person should concentrate on their questions while shuffling the cards
- the reader will ask the questor or to cut the Tarot cards and give them back
- the reader then spreads the Tarot cards in a certain pattern in order to answer the question

Which ones?
The most common Tarot card spreads are shown here:
- The 5-card spread - useful for getting a quick answer
- The 7-card spread - useful for getting more information on an already known situation
- The 10-card spread - useful for two people who need to work through an issue
- The Celtic Cross spread - useful for examining the details of the situation and providing an answer (a traditional spread)
- The Map of the World spread - useful for giving an overall view of the situation
- The Pyramid spread - useful for answering specific questions about any issues or difficulties
